Please join us at Mellow Minded Cafe on Saturday 4/22 from 6-8 for live original music by Alex Stanilla. This is a free event and we are a BYOB establishment.

Alex Stanilla is an indie pop singer/songwriter from Lebanon, Pennsylvania. As a teenager Stanilla began writing his own songs and recording them on a Boss BR-864 Multi Track recorder. Along with writing and producing his own music, Stanilla would often perform his songs around the Lebanon county area at various open mics and venues. Stanilla continued making music through college in Philadelphia, occasionally playing at clubs and house parties. Following college, Stanilla moved to Seattle and played keys and sang in the band Porpoise Parade and wrote a...nd released music under the name Kangaroo Boy. In June of 2016, Stanilla relocated to central Pennsylvania and has since released the "Backyard" E.P. A 3 song collection of indie pop songs that have drawn comparisons to David Bowie, The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra and the Flaming Lips. Stanilla often performs solo with just his acoustic guitar but has at times been backed by a full band, a laptop and pre-recorded loops or by a drum machine. Stanilla's live shows have been known to incorporate spontaneous, improvised songs that invite audience participation, pre-recorded conversations with himself and smashed guitars. They've also been known to be absorbingly low key, tranquil and enchanting to a place of delightful reverie.
